The windowless airplane.
An exciting concept from a Paris-based design company Technicon Design recently won an award for their IXION Windowless Jet Concept. The idea is to provide a 360-degree view using cameras mounted on the plane’s exterior to capture the scenery and then project that on high-res screen on the interior cabin walls and ceiling.
Concepts like these will make space travel that much more enjoyable and serene throughout long duration exploration missions….
Etruscan “Parade” Bronze Chariot with Ivory Inlay 2nd quarter of the 6th century B.C., Metropolitan Museum of NYC. The above reconstructed Etruscan chariot was found in the original owner’s tomb, and was not used for combat. Instead the elite owner would have used it for ceremonial/parade occasions The scene on the facade is Thetis giving arms to her son Achilles. In the front panel she is presenting Achilles with a shield and a helmet.
